Club career

Early career

Born in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands, Rodman began his career with Leamington. While with The Brakes, Rodman was named as the 2005–06 FA Cup's "Player of the Round" for the third qualifying round following a successful 2–0 win over Woodford United.[2] On 30 January 2008, Rodman joined Conference North rivals Nuneaton Borough from Gainsborough Trinity.[3]

Tamworth

Rodman signed for The Lambs from Nuneaton Borough on 30 May 2008.[4] Following his first season with The Lambs back in the Conference National, Rodman was looking for a move away from the club and moving up in the Football League. He spent most of the summer training with League One side Notts County where a deal was offered, however a deal collapsed. Rodman was urged by assistant manager Darron Gee to sign a new contract with the club,[5] which he did until the end of 2010–11 season.[6] One of Rodman's last games for Tamworth was against Newport County in which he scored a hat-trick, of which impressed County's outgoing manager at the time Dean Holdsworth.[7]

Aldershot Town

On 26 January 2011, it was announced that Rodman had left Tamworth to join Aldershot Town.[8] Rodman made his first appearance for The Shots on 29 January 2011 after coming off the bench to replace Wade Small in the 49th minute. Rodman sealed his debut for the club with a late goal in a 2–1 loss at Gillingham.[9]

International career

Futsal

Rodman has represented England in Futsal, making five appearances between 2006 and 2007, and had also been a member of the English and British Universities squad whilst studying Business at Nottingham Trent University.[10]

England C

Rodman made his England C debut on 26 May 2010 against the Republic of Ireland, coming on as an 89th minute substitute.[11] He made a second appearance on 15 September 2010 against a Welsh under-23 side, scoring the second goal in a 2–2 draw.[12] Rodman was then picked for the squad that would play Belgium on 9 February 2011 but withdrew due to becoming a Football League player.
